Wired KNX systems carry a clear premium at install — typically 1.4× the equivalent wireless package — but the lifecycle is measured in decades, not years. Wireless platforms (Lutron Caséta, Aqara, Apple Home) shine in retrofits and apartments where structural intervention is impossible. For a new villa, the long-term answer is almost always wired.
